Are you a consultant?
Registration on the Professional Directory is open to all Fellow, Full and Associate Members of IEEM that offer their services on a commercial basis.
The IEEM Professional Directory utilises online and print promotion to ensure maximum coverage for the ecologists and environmental managers that have a listing. IEEM directly promotes the Professional Directory to Government and other public bodies, Statutory Nature Conservation Agencies and Local Authority Planning Authorities throughout the UK and Ireland. The Directory is also promoted at various National events each year such as the RTPI Planning Convention and Ecobuild conference.

Eligibility
The Professional Directory is open to Full or Associate Members that offer their services on a commercial basis. All members registered on the directory must have appropriate Professional Indemnity Insurance (PII) (proof of which will be required) and be up to date with the Institute’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements.
Annual Checks
Entries on the Professional Directory will be reviewed annually in October when your membership is due. This ensures that all the entries remain current and that the Institute is promoting professional ecologists that adhere to the requirements for registration. If your membership renewal has not been received before 1 November, your listing on the directory will be suspended until such time as you renew your IEEM membership. You will be notified of your profile being removed by email.
Promotion
The IEEM Professional Directory utilises both online and print promotion to ensure maximum coverage for the ecologists and environmental managers that have a listing. IEEM directly promotes the Professional Directory to Government and other public bodies, Statutory Nature Conservation Organisations and Local Planning Authorities throughout the UK and Ireland. The Directory is also promoted at National events each year such as the RTPI Planning Convention and Ecobuild conference.
Discussions are also underway with the Biodiversity Planning Toolkit Project Group to link the Professional Directory to the Biodiversity Planning Toolkit website to increase exposure and we will be looking at further marketing opportunities over the coming months.
Sign Up Now!
Signing up for the Professional Directory will mean you (along with your consultancy) are being advertised to the public, developers (and other ecologists/environmental managers!)
You must be ‘professionally competent’ in all the areas of work (keywords) you select during the registration process. Claiming competence out-with your sphere of knowledge, skills and experience is a breach of IEEM’s Code of Professional Conduct, which, as an IEEM member, you have agreed to adhere to. The directory promotes individuals rather than companies, so you yourself and not another member of staff in the same company) must have the competencies chosen.
