NPWS propose SAC off Dublin coast
The National Parks and Wildlife Service is proposing to designate a large marine area (40km x 7km) off Dublin Bay (Rockabill to Dalkey Island) as a Special Area of Conservation (SAC) to protect the annexed habitat Reefs and the Harbour Porpoise. This may have some implications for oil and gas exploration, wind energy development and fisheries in the area.
