Committee MemberHannah Bilston MCIEEM

I have been an ecologist for over 10 years and I would bring my experience and enthusiasm to the committee.  I have a degree in Environmental Science and a Masters in Conservation Ecology. I am an organised individual and have organised the Oxfordshire and North Bucks Bat Group talks programmes which have included various high profile speakers.  I sit on the CIRIA Biodiversity Interest Group and have inputted constructively into the group including running workshops. I enjoy keeping up to date with emerging industry themes and would input proactively with ideas for events to help ensure the East of England members are well informed.

Committee MemberEmma Mundy MCIEEM

I am a Senior Ecological Consultant at RSK ADAS Ltd and have over 10 years’ experience of working in the environmental and ecological sector. I previously worked for another consultancy but have also worked for conservation organisations which has broadened my knowledge base. I have undertaken a wide variety of surveys and specialise in mammals, including dormice and water voles. I am an enthusiastic team member and will bring my experience and this enthusiasm to the committee, with the aim of helping the East of England group to expand and develop into a strong ecology network.

Committee MemberJames Simpson MCIEEM

I have worked in the environmental and conservation sector for over 17 years.  I have worked in a variety of roles within the public, private, self-employed and charitable sectors.  This work has ranged from the delivery of countryside stewardship, managing a SSSI nature reserve called Idle Valley, to more latterly working as a consultant ecologist.

In my latest role I lead the south east team for ADAS and provide expertise in both botany and amphibians.  This technical delivery has provided me with working on schemes that include the monitoring of Countryside Stewardship Schemes for English Nature to acting as the lead ecologist on the Woking GCN pilot project.  This varied and diverse range of experience can provide many insights into the industry and assist with the local committee.

Committee MemberLindsay Stronge Grad CIEEM

I am a graduate ecologist with two years experience. I work for RSK Environment and am based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. I have a particular interest in bats and botany but also hold licences for GCN/Smooth snakes/Sand lizard and Roman Snail.

I’m very enthusiastic about ecology and a keen organiser of activities and events in my spare time. I’m a career changer and still new to this sector, but I hope to organise events of interest to junior and aspiring ecologists. If you have any suggestions feel free to get in touch with the committee at
