Tim Moya Associates is a dynamic multi-disciplinary consultancy covering Ecology, Arboriculture, and Landscape services for many client areas including developers, local government, property managers, utilities and house holders.

We are based in our offices near Harlow, Essex, but undertake work throughout the UK.

Tim Moya Associates is involved in a wide range of work including planning consultancy, ecological enhancement schemes, ecological mitigation programmes and general advice relating to both trees, ecology and landscape, working for the private sector and for local government.

TMA are seeking a Senior Ecologist to join the team. We are looking for an experienced ecologist capable of undertaking and managing a variety of field surveys and mitigation and communicating effectively to clients. The successful candidate will enjoy a variety of site and office work.

Typical ecology work undertaken includes Phase 1 Habitat Assessments, Protected Species Surveys, Protected Species Mitigation Schemes, Ecological Enhancement Schemes and a wide range of other ecological consultancy work.

TMA Ecology are involved in a wide range of projects including for utilities companies, house builders and local authorities.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bat Survey Licence (Level 2) essential
  • Minimum four years’ experience in ecological consultancy
  • Strong skills in Phase 1 Habitat Assessment and Protected Species Surveys
  • Good knowledge of British flora and fauna
  • Detailed understanding of wildlife legislation and the planning system
  • Excellent report writing skills with attention to detail
  • Experience of successfully applying for and implementing European Protected Species Mitigation Licences would be particularly desirable
  • Full driving licence
