Would you value the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects...? Do you want to work within a friendly, vibrant team…? If so, we have the perfect role for you!

About the Role

Your role will be to grow, manage and support an ecological team delivering masterplanning inputs, ecological appraisals, specialist surveys and studies, other protected species surveys, mitigation design and construction and post-construction supervision and monitoring. They would be responsible for the oversight and management of their technical work and outputs, together with ongoing client relationships.

The role is a technical lead role within the UK-wide team of ecologists spanning our offices in Bristol, Southampton, Oxford, Derby and Cambridge, as well as in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

About You

You should command respect as an ecologist and bring a proactive approach to the role.  We have a preference for a Principal Ecologist with a recognised specialist role either in ornithology or in bat ecology as the role will provide technical leadership across our in-house ecologists in that specialism.   You should also have a track record of managing a team of ecologists in a busy and dynamic consultancy environment.
