Trainers sought for Ireland 2016 Professional Development Programme

CIEEM have identified a number of new training topics which we plan to include in the 2016 Professional Development Programme. The Professional Development Team are now inviting expressions of interest from practitioners with the required specialisms to provide training in the following subject areas. We are seeking to set up training in a number of locations across Ireland including Dublin, Belfast, Cork, Galway and Sligo.

New for 2016

Ecological Modelling (Beginner - Intermediate)

Advanced Surveying Methods (Intermediate - Advanced)

Habitat Management Planning (Intermediate - Advanced)

Windfarm Bird Collision Risk Modelling (Beginner - Intermediate)

Existing training areas (new locations)

Ecological Clerk of Works (Beginner - Intermediate)

• Intertidal Ecology (Beginner - Intermediate)

Expert Witness (Beginner)

For all events listed in the CIEEM Professional Development Programme, training providers must plan to deliver their training against a defined set of learning outcomes which relate to CIEEM’s Competency Framework.

Who can apply?

Practitioners with a strong subject knowledge and skills base. Those with little experience of delivering training will be considered on the basis that they will need to attend a CIEEM ‘Train the Trainer’ course (at a discounted rate) to develop their training event planning and delivery.

Initial delivery of training will be targeted at one or more of the priority locations listed in the detail provided for each subject area above. The Professional Development Team will prioritise locally-based trainers where appropriate. If you are not based in one of these areas you are still welcome to submit an expression of interest and your details may be kept on file until the course is rolled out to other locations.

How to submit your Expression of Interest

1. Follow links from the topic list above to download relevant Additional Information

2. Check our information on working with CIEEM as a Training Provider (in the Trainers' area of our website)

3. Follow this link to record your expression of interest.

You will be asked to provide your contact details and a brief (250 word max) summary of your skills and knowledge in relation to the chosen topic and your experience / qualifications in planning and delivering training events within a professional context. You are advised to prepare your summary in advance to cut and paste into the form.

Closing date:    DEADLINE EXTENDED TO Sunday 8 November

We will respond to all expressions of interest in early November and will work with training providers to develop the course for inclusion in our 2016 Professional Development Programme.
