This Special Interest Group (SIG) is a forum for exchange of ideas and practice, supporting events, CPD, policy engagement and other initiatives.  The scope and initial focus will be on restoration of degraded ecosystems, rehabilitation, reclamation, habitat creation and habitat/species translocation.  The aim is to develop and promote the creative skills and knowledge of ecologists in design and implementation, with an emphasis on re-establishing ecological processes applied to mitigation and compensation, re-establishing ecological networks, reconnecting people and nature (health, wellbeing and education), urban and post-industrial regeneration, living landscapes/seascapes, green/blue infrastructure, bioengineering and management of land, coastal and marine resources.
